We've been skipping back and forth across the country making connections with old colleagues and new clients at the PACA and Picturehouse events in New York City. We also set out to sea for a four day Mystery Trip. You can catch all the salty details below.
Also, don't miss our Featured Photo Collections. Both Hawaii and Ireland are popular areas of interest and we now have some wonderful content with depth and breadth.

We're pleased to be representing a wonderful collection of Hawaiian images from our partner Photo Resource Hawaii. Tami Dawson, the owner, has a background much like mine. She represents some of the best photographers not only from Hawaii, but from throughout the South Pacific.
This collection covers all the Hawaiian islands and many of the areas of French Polynesia. Because her photographers are based in these island areas, they have great range to their coverage with inside access that few outside photographers can achieve. We hope you'll enjoy this gallery, giving you a sample of the rich content available.

We're excited to introduce The Irish Image Colection. We've added this new partner featuring the entire spectrum of Ireland and Northern Ireland, including landscapes, cityscapes, lifestyles, travel, history, and imagery focused on the culture and heritage of the Irish people.
We're sure you'll love the diversity of images spanning the country and invite you to view our sample gallery for a taste of the Emerald Isle.

| PACA Conference |
 |
by Jonathan Kruger
At the end of October, Danita, Dave and I attended the PACA conference in New York. We met and reconnected with various colleagues from all over the world to discuss topics ranging from the state of the stock photography industry, new search technologies and licensing with PLUS (www.useplus.org), to other ways to best meet our clients' needs.
We know you're tired of seeing the same images on every site. We saw that many photo archives continue to distribute their images to as many sites as possible, and we're glad to be bucking that trend! Danita personally edits every image collection we host for the content that will best meet the needs of our clients, and we limit distribution to just a few key partners in various markets, mostly outside the US.

It was great experience going to Picturehouse in New York this year with Danita and getting to meet a lot of you. Finally putting a face to emails and phone conversations was a lot of fun, and you never quite know what to expect! We had a great turn out and thoroughly enjoyed our time. (We also enjoyed the photo booth provided by Jupiter!) Thank you for coming, it's a great venue and we hope to see next year!

| Mystery Trip |
 |
by Jeff Lawrence
he first weekend of October the staff embarked on our annual Mystery Field Trip. We departed from the office bright and early and made our way down to the Seattle waterfront, after a few pit stops meant to keep the staff unaware of the final destination. It was not the most beautiful Seattle morning, chilly and raining, but once the staff saw that our trip was going to be aboard a 1,800 passenger cruise ship we knew a good weekend was in store.
Everyone made their way onto the boat and quickly got acquainted with the ship and its many, many bars. Once settled into our respective cabins, or 'suite' in Dave and Danita's case, the staff made a collective lap around the boat with drinks in hand and wide smiles worn by all. After a long day of 'relaxation' and libation we all settled down for a big dinner and a show, then hit the nightclub for a memorable staff 'dance-off.'
The first stop on the cruise was Victoria, BC and almost everyone was able to disembark and take in some sights (while freezing our tails off). After some minor shopping, picture taking and a large gelato we headed back to the boat to warm up and continue the journey north. Following some down time, we came together for some fine wine tasting and another delicious meal. The staff then enjoyed a little after hours drink in the boss's suite and joked until the early morning.
The last stop on the 3 day cruise was Nanaimo on the east coast of Vancouver Island. With the sun shining down on the boat for the first time all weekend some of the staff took to shore and saw what the town had to offer. Others stayed on board and soaked up the sun in deckchairs and played shuffleboard (a must on any cruise). After some much needed Vitamin D everyone met back on board, put on their finest threads and prepared for the final dinner aboard ship.
After countless feasts, fine wine and spirits the ship docked back in Seattle early Monday morning. With all of us a little worn out from all the festivities, a short work day was in order and everyone was sent home to recover. We all had such a wonderful time. Late nights, dancing, good food and great company made for an amazing work trip. We hope to do it again next year!!

What's New? Danita's Column |

Greetings Friends & Colleagues,
This Fall has been a whirlwind of activity, with several of our staff joining us in New York for the PACA and Picture House events. Jonathan, who works on our partner relationships, flew out with us for the four day PACA conference. It was a great opportunity to introduce him to many of our agency colleagues. With over 500 worldwide agents attending, it was a perfect place to network with international contacts and share valuable information about the happenings of the global stock photography industry.
Savanah joined me at the Picture House event which was great for connecting her with many of our New York area clients. Many industry professionals on all levels were in attendance, making it an excellent place not only to network with colleagues, but also to find wonderful new sources for your photo needs.
