We've taken great strides since our last communique! New images are going up on the site faster than ever before, we've added content from locations that you've requested, and we've added images from talented new photographers! More details below...
| Mac users - How to get the most from our site
|
 |
Everything works pretty much the same on a Mac as it does on a PC until it's time to download a High Res image. There are a couple of simple things you can do to make the process work smoothly.

| Great Strides |
 |
Growth and adaptation are perennial themes at Danita Delimont Stock Photography. We've worked closely with our photographers over the summer to find ways to get images onto our site and into your hands more quickly.
We've upgraded our computers and increased our full-time staff. We are now loading new images onto the web site at more than double the rate of six months ago.
We have also sought out images that are harder to come by. This Fall, we have several photographers who have adjusted their itineraries to visit specific locations that you've been asking about!

| International League of Conservation Photographers |
 |
Last year at this time I attended the 8th World Wilderness Congress up in Anchorage, Alaska. I had many of my photographers attending as part of a new group of conservation photographers being organized. From this meeting the ILCP was formed: The International League of Conservation Photographers, developed under the capable leadership of Christina Mittemeier.
As many of you know, I’ve made a concerted effort to bring worldwide nature photographers as well as travel and cultural specialists to my team of professionals. I feel it’s important to have material on my site documenting the many faces of our changing world--including ecosystems and habitats and the flora, fauna and indigenous cultures that live within these habitats.
This is extremely important for my educational and editorial clients striving to illustrate the many changes going on around our planet. These photographers are out there photographing the many seasons of change, both good and bad. Without their important work, publishers would have nothing to show our next generation about the importance of conservation and preservation of our natural world.
"Understanding the complexity of nature is vital for our own survival on this planet. Photography is a universal language that can help us explain the importance of conserving the miraculous diversity of life to every citizen on Earth."
Cristina Mittermeier, Executive Director

What's New? Danita's Column |
 |
I've just returned from two weeks at various conferences--PACA in Florida and Picture House in NYC, where I was happy to have seen many of you!
It's hard to believe Dave and I were in hot and sunny Key West, Florida for the International PACA conference just a short while ago! What a setting--not unlike Bourbon Street in New Orleans! PACA draws in member stock agencies from all over the world and because Dave sits on the executive board as Treasurer now, we often meet and network with colleagues that we might not have met otherwise.
PACA has great opportunities to hear what trends are happening in the stock photo industry in different markets worldwide. It also educates us on copyright issues going on in emerging countries and the need to be vigilant and aware of copyright abuse going on globally.
