Global Classrooms Educating children throughout the world has always been a common theme. Parents and Grandparents are often the precursor to the teachers in the classroom, but each takes its role of importance. Traditional cultural techniques and skills such as weaving, woodworking or making pottery, as well as the thrashing or grinding of grain for the daily meal, is often taught within the extended family. The local teachers take over with the chalkboard and more recently computer screens. Story telling and oral traditions are often handed down through tribal storytellers. Our global classroom content covers many of these subjects in a diversity of countries. |
